Cheryl Pfister at piano.jpg

Cheryl Pfister grew up in Wayside, Wisconsin, on a big dairy farm. She has always had a passion for animals, but when Santa Claus brought her a piano during the Christmas of 4th grade, music became her life. She attended Silver Lake College in Manitowoc, WI and has been a band director, choral director, and elementary music teacher for 40 years in Door County.  Before becoming the full-time organist-accompanist at Hope, Cheryl actively subbed for many other denominational churches in Door County and assisted the Jacksonport United Methodist Church in a "Little House on the Prairie'' small church with a working 1880 pump organ.

Cheryl may be found accompanying many choral concerts and vocal performances around Door County. She also founded and directs the Community Choir of Door County, a volunteer choir that actively performs and donates all free will offerings to agencies in Door County that work to assist their neighbors in need.

Cheryl has many years of experience playing for funerals, memorial services, and weddings. Her professional associations extend into both the vocal and instrumental realms.
