Environmental Justice

Hope UCC has a long-standing commitment to environmental stewardship. Through Adult Forums and the dissemination of information on reuse, recycling, creation justice, and sustainability, Hope leads by example; a commercial dishwasher was installed to decrease paper waste, printer cartridges are recycled, and LED lights are utilized. Hope’s beautification and maintenance efforts have transformed the church grounds into a spiritual campus that fosters meditation and reflection and is open to the community.

 

Other environmental initiatives have included providing website links to recycling opportunities and the bi-annual Rummage Sales to reuse and recycle household/clothing items sponsored by the Benevolent Committee.
